Use of cookies and Google Consent Mode v2 at berynqo.com

Last updated: February 2, 2026

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small files saved in your browser when you visit a website. They allow pages to work, remember your preferences, measure usage and, if you agree, personalise content and advertising. Berynqo uses first and third party cookies in accordance with this policy.

2. Types of cookies we use

We distinguish five categories: (i) Necessary, essential for basic navigation and security; (ii) Functional, which remember preferences such as language; (iii) Analytics, which help us understand usage in aggregate; (iv) Advertising, mostly managed by Google Ads to measure campaigns and personalise ads; and (v) Personalisation, which adjusts content based on your previous behaviour.

3. Google Consent Mode v2

We implement Google Consent Mode v2 with default denied configuration. Before any Google tag loads, the consent signal is sent with ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage set to 'denied'. The functionality_storage and security_storage signals remain 'granted' to allow the site to work and stay secure. In addition, we enable ads_data_redaction and url_passthrough to reduce information shared when there is no consent.

4. How consent is updated

When you accept cookies, reject cookies or save your preferences in the banner, we call gtag('consent', 'update', {...}) with the states you chose, and we also push a cookie_consent_update event to the dataLayer. Your choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) so we respect your decision on future visits.

5. How to change your choice

You can update your consent at any time from the 'Cookie preferences' link in the footer. If you clear cookies or your browser's local storage, the banner will appear again to request a new choice.

6. Third-party cookies

We load the Google Tag (gtag.js) linked to account AW-18064110603 only after initialising Consent Mode v2. Tags respect your consent state and, if you reject the advertising category, Google will not use that information for ad personalisation or remarketing audiences.

7. Duration

Strictly necessary cookies typically expire when you close your session. Functional and analytics cookies are kept for periods ranging from 30 days to 24 months. Advertising cookies follow the durations defined by Google for its Google Ads product.

Manage preferences

Turn each category on or off. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled as they are essential to the site.
